Look Up

The title of our blog came from a short story Gary wrote when we first started dating. He wrote the story after returning from a trip to Zion National Park in southern Utah where he did a hike that ended with a view of Kolob Arch, the largest free standing natural arch in the world. The view was marked only by a sign that said “Further travel not recommended.” However, despite the size of the arch, it was not immediately apparent that they had reached their destination. The amazing view may have been missed if someone had not etched “Arch-Look Up” on the sign. That phrase, “Look Up,” has become a reminder for us to: 1) always look for the beautiful and good things in life, and 2) always remember the source of everything good and beautiful.
